Loosen Up Created an exhibition for all ages based on a famous filmmaker and actor, Charlie Chaplin. He lightens up people from everyday struggles and tragedy with his humor, and the exhibition carried this energy; visitors could pick up happiness by experiencing different activities from loosening up their face to entire body, and taking away the positive spirit to their life.
BrandingThe branding of Loosen Up took inspiration from a film ceremony and theater. and the typefaces, colors, materials and image style were created.
FloorplanThe exhibition was located in the Art Building Quad at San José State University, and it was divided into 3 sections: courtyard, hallway and main gallery.
ExhibitionCourtyard had holeboards and a backdrop, which allowed visitors to take pictures and loosen up their faces before entering the exhibition.
ExhibitionHallway was hung up Chaplin’s movie posters along with the timeline. It had holeboards requiring visitors to follow a certain pose to go through, which allowed visitors to warm up their body.
ExhibitionThe main gallery was designed a 360° interactive screen playing Chaplin’s video and quotes. It allowed visitors to have fun by touching the handprints and footsteps.
Process BookDocumented the process of the project from the beginning to the end; from working with hand sketches to a 3D program.
